Boy on a Bridge:
As a boy I stood and
watched the river flow below,
And saw the angler
cast his line, but little did I know,
That when I aged,
became a man, that I would thread the flood,
And as I fished, got
what I wished, and saw the child above.
A childhood dream of
what will be, can truly be,
For if your childish
wish is strong, yes, one day you will see,
The magic of that
moment when it at last comes true,
As if someone or
something great ordained it just for you.
So if you have a
dream, just close your eyes,
But make no wish
against your enemy, whom you might despise,
Just for one moment think of what you
really want or where you long to go,
Don’t be afraid, be
firmly brave, for wishing can always make it so.
